*1978 --- Released 1st album, 'Ode to the Farmer',which began the anthem for the American Farm Movement. Played at Constitutional Hall for members of Congress and President Carter. 
 
*1979 ---  Moved to California. Co-founded Mojave River Band, which won awards at several major Bluegrass festivals.
 
*1980-83 --- Cofounded The Renegade Band. Signed with FoxFidel Records. Recorded and released album 'The Renegade Band' and 'Cold Hearted Woman' hit #5 on the charts. Worked and toured with major acts, such as the Oak Ridge Boys, Willie Nelson. Played Las Vegas, including stints at the Continental, Sams Town, Maxim, and The Sahara.
 
*1985 --- Worked with DreamString providing anti-drug programs in schools.
 
*1986 --- Moved to Nashville and served as Youth Minister at the Chapel of Love in Mt Juliet, TN Worked in the publishing side of the music 
 
*1987 --- Went on a mission trip to Haiti to help build an orphanage and feed children.
 
*1988 --- Produced K.O. White on an album dedicated to the starving children of Haiti. Wrote songs in support of the project.
 
*1990 --- Produced an album for Zane Trusty
 
*1991 --- Recorded an album dedicated to New Canaan Ranch in Pulaski, TN, which provides hope for people overcoming drug and alcohol addiction 
 
*1992 --- Co-produced an album for Jayne Lance in Memphis. and did sessions work with the legendary BB Cunningham, Willie Hall and others. Also produced album on Wayne Cain and The Country Thunder Band 
 
*1993-99 --- Went to work for Gibson Guitar.

*1994 --- 'Country Music Is Rockin The Country' is recorded by Rebecca Lynn Howard, written by Jim Whitaker and Jack Fultz

*1997 --- 'Red Top Mountain', written in 1992, hits #1 on the Christian charts. Performed by The Fox Brothers and written by Jim Whitaker and Dan Johnson.

*2004 --- Released cd 'Common Ground', dedicated to 'School For Life' in Iaeger, WV.  On the same programs with Billy Currington, Jeanie Sealy, Charlie Louvin, Stella Parton, Joanne Cash, and others. Released the CD, "Common Ground."
Worked with Jack and Brenda Fultz and their School for Life Ministry, teaching and feeding children in McDowell County, West Virgina, the poorest county in the United States.
 
*2005 --- Award-winning artist, Jackie Cox, recorded 'Common Ground' on his new cd, written by Jim and Steve Wilson. Released cd 'Im Called' and is currently touring throughout the U.S. Produced 'Two Hearts -n- Him' on project titled 'Once Upon a Cross' due for release in early 2006. Did a taping of singing two songs for the 'Duggar Family' of 18 on The Discovery Channel due out in early 2006
